Postpartum care capacity is under pressure: what you can already do
The shortage in postpartum care has been a national concern for a while now, and in 2026 it is still on the agenda of health insurers and trade organisations. A lot of work is going into better cooperation between postpartum care providers, but availability still differs from region to region and from month to month.
What does that mean for you? A foundation of your own, of confidence and skills, becomes all the more valuable. The better you and your partner know what you can do yourselves, the less you depend on the luck of scheduling and availability.
That is why our course is just as much about the fourth trimester, the first weeks after birth, as about the birth itself. Think of breathing and relaxation for yourself, practical knowledge about feeding and recovery, and above all: knowing what you need as a couple to feel supported, even when there is no postpartum nurse around for a while.
Feeling in charge means knowing what you have influence over, and being able to shift from a place of trust when things go differently than planned. That is exactly what hypnobirthing is about, during the birth and in the vulnerable, beautiful period that follows.
