Rebozo closing ritual

Your body has done something great. This is the moment to close, land, and honor what has been.

What is it?

An old ritual for a new beginning

The rebozo closing ritual — also known as 'closing of the bones' — is an ancient ritual from Mexico. Your body is gently wrapped and rocked in a long woven cloth (the rebozo). From head to foot, the joints and bones are, as it were, 'closed' following the opening movement required by childbirth. But it is more than a physical ritual. It is also an emotional and spiritual transition: from pregnant woman to mother. From the old to the new. A moment to reflect on everything you have done, carried, and given birth to. The ritual takes place at your home, in complete tranquility. Sabrina guides you through the various steps: warming compresses, massage with warm oil, wrapping with the rebozo, and a moment of silent presence.

For whom

For every woman who has just given birth

It does not matter how your delivery went — quick or long, at home or in the hospital, vaginal or via C-section. Every body deserves this moment of care.

When?

Ideal in the first six weeks after childbirth. The ritual is also valuable later on — it is never too late to honor and bring closure to your birth experience.

How long does it take?

Allow approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Including a relaxed conversation beforehand and time to wind down afterwards.

Where?

Sabrina comes to your home. You don't have to go anywhere — you lie, you receive.

What do you need?

Nothing. Sabrina brings everything: the rebozo, herbal tea, warm compresses, and oil. You just need to provide a quiet place and a little time for yourself.

What you take away from it

The effect of the ritual

  • Physical recovery Wrapping supports the closing of the pelvis and the uterus. Many women experience fewer pelvic complaints and a deeper sense of physical calm after the ritual.
  • Emotional processing Childbirth is an intense experience — whatever happened. The ritual offers space to feel, acknowledge, and let go of that experience.
  • To be seen and honored In daily life after a birth, everything quickly revolves around the baby. This ritual is entirely for you. Your strength, your transition, your story.
  • A beautiful endpoint — and a new beginning The ritual acts as a symbolic closing of the pregnancy and childbirth, allowing you to stand with both feet in the new phase.
